WYNN YUNN

Wynn Yunn is a contemporary Canadian Artist born and raised in Treaty 7 Territory, in Mohkinstsis/Calgary. She works across painting, textile, organic matter, and installation. Drawing from close observation of the natural world, her practice explores the relationships between place, material, and lived experience. She works with oil paint, natural dyes, silk cocoons, botanical, and earth materials to create images, objects and environments that move between the intimate and the expansive. Wynn's work attends to the physical qualities of materials and their capacity to hold traces of experience, inviting reflection on change, belonging, and our relationship to the natural world.
